Meet Our Coaches

Meet Kim Fietek, whose journey began in 2012 with the Hopkins High School Rugby Club. She continued her passion for the sport at North Dakota State University with the Women's Rugby Club, Fighting Snappers. Looking to create opportunities for players post-grad, in 2019, Kim co-founded the Red River Roughriders, Fargo-Moorhead's first Senior Women's Rugby Club. Currently coaching for the NDSU Fighting Snappers and the Roughriders, Kim's leadership and dedication have left an indelible mark. Additionally, she serves as the Minnesota Rugby Union's Men's Collegiate Commissioner. Kim's favorite positions are Hook and Scrumhalf, and she passionately supports the USA Eagles.

Meet Taylor Neaton. Taylor started his rugby career back in 2009 where he was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play for the Western Alliance Rugby (WAR) in high school. As a senior, Taylor was the captain of the team and helped lead them to an undefeated season capping it off with a state title. Upon graduating from Watertown-Mayer High School in 2011, Neaton decided to pursue his rugby career further by playing for the NDSU Lost Boys in college. During his time with the Lost Boys, Neaton was a multiple time captain and MVP helping take the team to the Elite 8 of the national tournament. Neaton has also been a member of the MN Selects Side team numerous times and through that received an invite to participate in the USA Eagles tryouts. Despite coming up short at the tryouts, he was able to take a lot away from the opportunity which has not only helped him as a player, but also as a coach. Neaton currently serves as Head Coach of the Ruffians and has helped play a crucial role in revamping the team and leading them to two Midwest Championships.
